Having graduated from graphic art -Alfin Agnuba & Kurma Elda Gustriyanto- and painting -Valentino Febri, Putu Sastra Wibawa, I Made Agus Darmika, & I Putu Cipta Suryanta- questioned the same anxiety; How will they survive as an artist? How to keep their arts sustain? What is the strategy that fit them best as an artist in the art world? Hence, they collectively create a visual art exhibition to showcase their best talent. More than 20 pieces artworks of 2 dimensional, 3 dimensional, mural, and art installation are exhibited at Karja Art Space, from 21 October to 30 October 2017. "Perhaps the period of time with sense of contemporaries, which frames their meetings: a group of almost identical youths, in the same age, with a pulsating social experience that is not much different? Or, perhaps also about the place; the city of Jogjakarta where they are simultaneously building melancholy, exploring the possibilities, and composing the identity. They also share space and time with others. Just in the name of fine arts, they give reasons for its existence. Art as a mantra, as well as their 'home' to give the names and meanings of the various experiences they collect", this is how Rain Rosidi a writer from Jogjakarta see the main reason why these 6 artist having this group exhibition. These six young people have different backgrounds. Some come from Bali, and others from Java. The sources of reference, taste, technique and style they chose in their work were different. They are Alfin Agnuba, Putu Sastra Wibawa, Kurma Elda, Valentino Febri, Putu Cipta Suryanta, and I Made Agus Darmika. Just because of art they meet, and eventually build a joint rite, the art exhibition. The exhibition became one of their efforts to name and values the traces of their experiences. Although as if it were random, the sixth formation was not a coincidence. It is said that some people think that art is an institutionalized (incidentally) subculture. These six young people are in the social network of visual art, which has its own unique social system and reflection space. Differences in the background and choice of art media do not preclude their meetings. Art has an open spirit. They go through conversations, share languages, and share values. And this exhibition, in fact, is the footsteps and artifacts of their activities that are shared on audiences. For further information on the exhibition please contact:
